These were served at a Womens Conference at church several years ago and I was grateful they gave out the recipe. Yummy!
Crust:
2/3 c.
butter, softened
2/3 c. brown
sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. finely
chopped pecans or walnuts
Filling:
½ c. sugar
2 pkgs. 8-oz.
cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
¼ c. milk
2 Tbsp. lemon
juice
1 tsp.
vanilla
Mix
butter, brown sugar, flour, and pecans together. Reserve 2 c. for topping.
Press
remainder into a greased 9”x 13” pan. Bake at 350° for 12 min. until lightly
browned.
In a mixer, blend sugar with cream cheese
until smooth. Add remaining
ingredients.
Spread over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at
350° for
about 25 min. Refrigerate overnight before cutting and serving.
Cut into 1 ½” squares. Makes 48.
